about Phi sigma rho

Phi Sigma Rho was founded in 1984 by Rashmi Khanna and Abby McDonald at Purdue University. It all started when Abby tried to rush the traditional sorority style and discovered it was impossible to keep up with the typical engineering student workload, so she worked together with Rashmi to found Phi Sigma Rho. The two girls wanted to found a sorority that would be understanding to their commitments in classes, but would have the same sisterly bonds as any other sorority. Today there are more than 30 chapters across the U.S., and there are sure to be more on the way. Our sorority promotes high standards of personal integrity, respect, character, lifelong bonds of sisterhood, and academic and professional excellence with a social balance.
